About CAUPRS
The Canadian Association of University Professors of Refractive Surgery (CAUPRS) was founded in 2001. Our goal is to promote Laser Refractive Surgery (LRS) through various means. CAUPRS is made up of ophthalmologists who regularly perform LRS, and are also directly involved in the clinical teaching of ophthalmology residents at numerous academic institutions in Canada.
CAUPRS membership is open to all Canadian ophthalmologists who perform LRS on a regular basis and who have an academic appointment or who teach LRS to ophthalmology residents on a regular basis at a Canadian institution. Members of CAUPRS meet in conjunction with the Canadian Ophthalmology Society's annual meeting and exhibition. CAUPRS provides laser refractive surgery (LRS) wet labs as well as didactic lectures for Canadian ophthalmology residents.
